The mosquito traps work to attract them by emitting these things into the air. Because mosquitoes will come close to a trap, you will want to make sure the trap is away from your picnic area or wherever your family will be entertaining.
Because a mosquito catcher is usually run on propane and/or battery or electricity, it can work for up to 21 days before you will need to refill the propane tank again. You will only need to empty the trap as often as it is filled with dead mosquitoes. You can also purchase other add on attractants such as Octenol, to make your trap even more attractive to mosquitoes in the area.
