Mosquito catcher

As the threat of West Nile virus has become increasingly more widespread, the need for devices such as a mosquito catcher has become more prevalent.  There are several different mosquito catcher brands on the market, from makers such as Coleman, Lentek, Mosquito Magnet, and others.
The way a mosquito catcher works is by attracting mosquitoes to a unit where they will be sucked into a net to die.  Mosquitoes are attracted to human scents, warmth, and moisture.  The mosquito traps work to attract them by emitting these things into the air.  Because mosquitoes will come close to a trap, you will want to make sure the trap is away from your picnic area or wherever your family will be entertaining.
Because a mosquito catcher is usually run on propane and/or battery or electricity, it can work for up to 21 days before you will need to refill the propane tank again.  You will only need to empty the trap as often as it is filled with dead mosquitoes.  You can also purchase other add on attractants such as Octenol, to make your trap even more attractive to mosquitoes in the area.
