Mosquito eater
If you are looking for a totally portable solution to rid your home yard or camping areas, you might like the Gobblin mosquito eater insect trap. The mosquito eater uses no electricity or batteries, and is run completely on methanol. You can purchase methanol at most hardware or home improvement stores.
The mosquito eater attracts mosquitoes by emitting human-like odors. By emitting carbon dioxide, heat, moisture, and alcohol vapors, the insect trap attracts mosquitoes into its electrostatic grid where they are killed. The grid voltage is low enough that you will not hear that annoying popping sound associated with other bug zappers. The lower voltage will also keep the insects from exploding, leaving a much easier clean up process.
The mosquito eater is less than 18 inches tall and weighs only 8 pounds. Because it is so small and lightweight, the unit is much easier to bring with you on a long camping trip. Because the unit has no fuel lines, it is safer than propane powered traps that have been known to cause fires. The traps are easy to clean as well, just brush off the dead mosquitoes with a cloth.
