Mosquito cure
Unfortunately, there is no mosquito cure for the diseases that many mosquitoes carry. With mosquito swarms carrying diseases like West Nile Virus and malaria, it is no surprise that you might be worried about being bitten. It is also unfortunate that the pesticides used in efforts to find a mosquito cure by killing disease ridden insects can also cause harmful problems of their own. Pregnant women and children or others who are sensitive to chemicals should stay inside or away from a spraying area, as well as turning off fans or air conditioners that will bring the chemicals in.
If you have been bitten, the best mosquito cure for treating your bite is to wash the area with soap and water as soon as you realize that you have been bitten. Apply a paste of baking soda and water to the bite; this will help to draw the mosquitos saliva from your skin. Use an ointment or cream to help alleviate the itching, and avoid scratching the bite as it may aggravate it and cause it to itch even more.
The closest you can come to a mosquito cure is to avoid being bitten altogether. Wear long sleeves and pants, and possibly treat your clothes with a Permethrin product to keep the mosquitoes away. Apply repellent containing DEET on your exposed skin, paying close attention to ankles and your neck.
