Mosquito bite

There is nothing worse on a hot summers day than an itchy, burning mosquito bite.  Every summer, millions of Americans and people worldwide will suffer the annoying agony of the mosquito bite.  In order to prepare yourself for mosquito season, make sure you are fully stocked with all of the repellants and devices to keep your home and camping areas free of biting insects.
Many people wonder what is about a mosquito bite that makes them itch so much.  The bite is not actually a bite, because the mosquito doesnt have teeth.  The female mosquito has a long needle like mouthpart that she stabs into the skin of the victim, injecting the skin with her saliva.  The saliva is intended to help the mosquito digest the blood that it sucks, but in turn acts as a foreign substance in the human body, causing red itchy bumps to appear.
Some ways to avoid a mosquito bite is to wear light colored clothing when you are outdoors.  Mosquitoes are attracted to bright floral colors because they think the colors equal the nectar of a flower.  You can also apply insect repellent if you know you will be in an area dense with mosquitoes.
