With the threat of mosquito borne diseases like West Nile virus and malaria, it is essential that you keep your loved ones and pets protected.  There are several options to rid your area of mosquitoes and avoid being bitten.  You can use a mosquito fogger around your home, use a trap, apply repellent, use plants and candles that repel mosquitoes, or use netting to keep the mosquitoes from entering your area.  The size of the mosquito fogger that you use will depend on the amount of mosquitoes in your area.

Using a mosquito fogger will probably not only kill pesky mosquitoes, but other flies and gnats that can become a nuisance to your yard.  Because mosquitoes breed near standing water sources, you might find that you have a bigger problem if you live near a lake or stream.  Repellents and citronella oil may not be enough to kill the mosquitoes around you.

There are several mosquito fogger machines to choose from, ranging from portable gas powered machines to electric models.  Also, if you have a fountain or water area that you have noticed mosquitoes near, you can use mosquito dunks, which release substances that cause mosquitoes to die after ingestion.  You may want to use a small can fogger if you are noticing a lot of flying insects in an outdoor enclosed patio.
